Why don't Mcdonalds deliver?

Why is it that McDonald's don't deliver. They would surely make a fortune doing this as they would be able to directly compete with pizza / indian / chinese food delivery companies.Why don't Mcdonalds deliver?

When burger joints start out, I guess they don't do it because the profit is not there.



Right now, the profits is probably not there either. Burgers are usually ready to go and they have restaurants everywhere. You gotta be a real lazy person or loser to be ordering it when it's right down the street. Plus, imagine some loser ordering food that's from the other side of the city? They probably didn't want to deal with that crap and deal with such customers. The foods you mentiontake some time to cook, so the delivery make sense as people can just wait for it at home. I would say it's faster to just go down to your local burger place to get it.Why don't Mcdonalds deliver?
if my mcdonalds was to deliver we would another whole kitchen for it... lunchtime orders are busy as it it and to deliver you'd need double the staff take orders, cook extra food, plus deliver itself , simply its not viable! :( although in an ideal world it would be amazing!

That's not necessary. The reason why pizza places and Chinese food places deliver is because those items take a while to make and people can't always wait there while their food is made. You can make a Big Mac in no time, so why not go to McDonald's and get it yourself?Why don't Mcdonalds deliver?

It works for pizza because its one item. large and in a cardboord box. mcdonalds has multiple items that can get cold real fast. Do you want cold food? I don't think so.
They don't need to people come to them. I would not give them any more profits. They put their restaurants in places people go like cinemas, thus not needing to deliver.
some of them does, it depends on the country and the traffic, their meal has a shelf of 10 min tops! a 20 to 30 min macdonald meal in not that good !!
why dont YOU deliver? you could make a fortune.





Seriously though, the food would get cold too fast and they would get alot of complaints.
Because they are too fat to walk
They can't even get your order right let alone manage to ride a moped.
some locations do mostly in big cities.
Because people would be even fatter
