I desperately need to know the sex of my baby. I am 6 weeks pregnant, and many more wks left for the ultrasnd.?

This is my second pregnancy, First one was a boy. I am 28 yrs old now and the conception date was Nov 2009. Baby is due on Aug 19th, my first one was born on Aug 11th in 2008. Chinese Chart predictors have given me different answers. My pregnancy symptoms are very different from my first delivery. I had severe evening sickness, back aches and tiredness in my first delivery. I used to crave for salty food all the time. This time, I hardly have any sickness. Except for occasional mild headaches, backaches and bouts of hunger...but not all the time. I dont crave for anything particular.I get tired often though. Its been only 6 weeks, so hard to tell how I am carrying the baby! Plss help. Any predictions? I am yearning for a boy this time too... (for personal reasons though!)I desperately need to know the sex of my baby. I am 6 weeks pregnant, and many more wks left for the ultrasnd.?
My FAVORITE gender predictor on thebump.com says that you're having a boy. It was right on my for all 3 of my pregnancies and I have found it to be accurate for others too.

Good luck!
As fun and amusing as the old wives tales are, they are just a guessing game. Majority of the ones that I tried said I would have a boy but my instinct/ultrasound said girl.

You'll just have to wait for the ultrasound (and even those aren't 100% accurate)I desperately need to know the sex of my baby. I am 6 weeks pregnant, and many more wks left for the ultrasnd.?
Sorry to say but none of those old wifes tales are reliable. It dosnt matter what you crave, how you carry, how much you throw up or what month you conceived that baby will be what ever gender god made it. Old wifes tales are fun to use for guessing but they are in no way accurate. They are only right 50 percent of the time. You will have to wait for the scan, and even that can be wrong sometimes.

EDIT: I only just remembered they have tests out now that are like pregnancy tests that come up with either a blue or pink line to indicate the sex. I have no idea how accurate they are or how they work and they are expensive but maybe you could try one. I live in New Zealand and have seen them in pharmacys for 150 bucks.

I want to know so badly as well, Im only 12.5 weeks.

You will have to wait 10 to 15 weeks to find out by ultrasound.

Old wives tales can be fun but not accurate.

Ah..the waiting game :(I desperately need to know the sex of my baby. I am 6 weeks pregnant, and many more wks left for the ultrasnd.?
you wont find out until 19-21 weeks, you ahve some time left yet!!!
Unfortunately the symptoms cannot predict what you are carrying. Although I was craving sweets when I was pregnant with my daughter (and that was apparently an old wives tale to indicate a girl!). The scan to find out the sex is usually between 16-20 weeks, so unfortunately you still have a while to wait!!
Most doctors don't do your ultrasound until 18+ weeks, anything earlier can lead to a sex change up later down the line. I found out when I was 21 weeks.
you will find out when you go for your 18 - 20 week ultrasound.
You Will Probably Have To Wait Until Your 20week Scan, 14weeks Away.

Your Just Going To Have To Guess Until Then !!!!

You can't rely on old wives tales, so don't pay any attention to them. From all my symptoms first pregnancy i was meant to be having a girl. I had boys. You're going to have wait at least 14 weeks (20 week scan) to find out the gender of your baby, so sit tight and be patient, as there's little else you can do. The chances of finding a technician to tell you the gender of your baby any earlier is pretty much nil, as the results are too unreliable. If you were having twins, you'd know by 16 weeks possibly as you get more scans. But in a singleton, your next scan after the 12 week one is at 20-22 weeks.Unless medical reasons deem it necessary to have them more regularly. Enjoy the guessing game in the meantime. Congrats.
If you need to know that desperately, there is a blood test you can do that's supposed to be 95% accurate, but it's expensive. Hope you have a few $175 laying around.

*every person and every pregnancy is different.*

there are 11 of us and only 2 boys...

~when my mom was pregnant with me she was tired and sick all the time. she had no cravings and even lost weight (much like i am now with my first child - a girl)

~when she was pregnant with my little sister she was gassy, had a ton of weird cravings, gained weight fast and had lots of energy, she also carried differently then she did with me.
well I am sorry but no matter how desperate you are to know what you are having, you can't know until you have an ultrasound half way through. Everything else is just speculation and old wives tales are just old wives tales. I have two boys - totally different pregnancies. You will just have to wait like everyone else. Sorry.
you have about 7 to 12 weeks. it just depends on the way your baby is positioned.
