My 97 audi won't start all dash lights come on replace starter but no results?

on the starter there is one larger wire, always has power. and a small wire, (used to switch) when you turn the key it gives power to the small wire, if you dont have power there with the key turned to start (takes two people) then its not gonna turn over. check your battery connections. and battery charge. if you are missing that signal on the small wire at the starter, it gets this signal from the ignition switch.
