Keeping up to code?

I'm new to the neighborhood and started ordering takeout from a Chinese restaurant that left a brochure on my windshield. I would say I've been ordering from them about once a week for the past two months.



I've never been to the restaurant, but when I placed my order over the phone, they said they were down to one delivery driver tonight, so I would have to pick up my food or wait three hours to get it delivered.



I went to the restaurant and it was absolutely filthy! The floors looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped in weeks and food was just laying everywhere. I cancelled my order and left.



I was wondering if anyone knew the Virginia health regulations regarding restaurant cleanliness. How often are they inspected? Was that really chicken I've been eating these past few months?Keeping up to code?
virginia health code is pretty strict, but actually enforcing it is where they are falling short. most establishments are inspected once a year at least, but by all means, feel free to call better business beaureau on themKeeping up to code?

i don't know the heath regulations but i know you should know where you are getting your food from.next time go to the place first and inspect it your self. Good Luck!!!!!!
