Avant is Audi's name for estate, sportback is simply a 5 door version of the A3What are the differences between an Audi A4 Avant and an Audi A3 Sportback?Well thats wrong - sportback is the Coupe version of the A3 (3 door)



A4 Avant is an Audi A4 estate, which is a bigger "family car model" than a A3 (young couple no kids car). Impossible to fit a 2.4 family luggage amount in an A3 - in an A4 you've room for the kitchen sink.
