His parents never cook and all he knows how to make is mac and cheese. Normally, they have hot dogs, frozen burritos, frozen potato skins, pop tarts, little debbie's, popsicles and pre-packaged ice cream cones, sunny D, sprite, and coke. The only fruit they ever have at his house is apples, and they don't have any vegetables. They often go out to fast food places, have "pizza friday" where they order delivery pizzas, and instead of making anything for Thanksgiving, they eat at a cheap Chinese buffet restaurant. He's moving out of state this Friday, so I'd really like to make him something nice before he moves.
I can't wait to read people's opinions, and thanks!I want to make dinner for my boyfriend.?
Spaghetti with meatballs. Parmesan and garlic bread
Om nom nom
A casserole and peach cobbler sounds like the perfect home cooked meal for someone who doesn't get much home cooked food. You can add a side salad or another veggie.
My husband's favorite is very simple.
1. Boil penne noodles (we use 3/4 of a regular size box).
2. Brown some ground beef.
3. Mix together 1 can of tomato soup and a small container of sour cream.
4. Mix pasta, beef, and sauce is a pan. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350 until cheese is brown and it's a little bubbly, about 30 min.
Enjoy!I want to make dinner for my boyfriend.?
a dish i made recently and really enjoyed eating was baked chicken with a touch of lemon and some parsley, with corn, and croissant's (the canned kind, i'm not that good =3) and a simple salad with greek vinegerette. For a drink i had some sweet tea. These are all really simple things to make and go wonderfully together
P.S. lemon juice is really strong, so you don't need much
So you better cook special pizza for your boyfriend. Just like what you have said, they often go out for pizza. Pizza must be his favorite.I want to make dinner for my boyfriend.?
I'd recommend a type of pasta, garlic bread, and a salad. Or meat such as steak or shrimp, a baked potato and a type of veggie such as broccoli.
I think that is a real nice gesture. Clear the menu with him so you can be sure he will like it.
I didn't know your BF is into dogs.
you should make him Chicken parmesan! i cant really cook, but i successfully made this for my boyfriend and his family, so its not too difficult. idk if you want the recipe but ill give it to you anyway :)
you'll need:
6 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (idk if its the right stuff but i used the stuff that people put on spaghetti)
1 and 1/2 cups Prego Traditional Italion Sauce
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves. (there small, so it'll work for the two of you)
1 and 1/2 cups shredded mozerella cheese.
and a package of noodles
Boil the noodles
Stir 4 tablespons of parmasan cheese into the sauce
spray a skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat for 1 minute. add the chicken and cook for 10 miutes or until its well browned on both sides.
pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, turning to coat with sauce. reduce heat to medium. cover and cook for 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. i cut it in half to check.
top the mozerella cheese and remaining parmesan cheese. let it cool until the cheese is melted.
and just put the saucy chicken on the noodles and tell him to eat up :)
i also prepared a salad and bought a apple pie to bake in the oven.
good luck with the dinner and your soon to be long distance relationship
Well...what is your question? What to make him? If that's it, I'd make him something you know HOW to make, and make well. Stick to something you know, be it baked chicken or fish or spaghetti. Then just do a few nice sides. A salad, baked potato, mixed veggies with a little olive oil and Italian herbs. Just be prepared, if he's not used to eating a lot of veggies, he may not like them. But, if he's not used to a nice, home-made dinner, anything you make will exceed his expectations and be above what he is used to. For drinks, you can do a nice wine or if you are too young for alcohol, you can do sparkling cider in wine glasses. That's always nice. To make it extra special, make raspberry ice cubes for the cider, and serve it in wine glasses. (For raspberry ice cubes, just puree raspberries in a blender with enough water to thin it out. You can add a little orange juice and cinnamon for extra flavor too, but only a little, or it will overpower the raspberry. Then run it through a strainer so you get the seeds out, and just freeze in a regular ice cube tray). For dessert, you can do a creme brule. It is fairly easy but it is a fancy dessert. Or maybe a little chocolate cake with fresh whipped cream. That would be very yummy! Good luck with your dinner.
