If you're driving an Audi how do you justify driving a badged up Volkswagen?

Okay, smart guy, what model Volkswagen is badged up to make the R8? What model Volkswagen is badged up to make the TT Roadster?

Come on, we wait for the information with bated breath.

Edit Aug 25/07

EOS wheelbase 101.5 in, TT 95.6

EOS length 173.6 in, TT 164.5

EOS width 70.5 in, TT 72.5

EOS height 56.8 in, TT 53.5

TT available AWD as well, so the EOS, is overall bigger, TTis a little wider, how did the badges do that?

Sorry, close, but no cigar

Plus the TT is available FWD or AWD.

Phaeton is a full-size sedan, the R8 is a 2-door sports car!

i saw you in the bmw section and now i see you here and god knows where all you put your crap in...

listen to me cars like these might be a piece o' s**t for you, but for me, they're a passion, so don't try to insult them, otherwise, you'll get yourself into net raps...If you're driving an Audi how do you justify driving a badged up Volkswagen?
It's just a matter of taste.

It is a good thing that people have different likes and dislikes, otherwise this world would be a pretty boring place! If you're driving an Audi how do you justify driving a badged up Volkswagen? If you're driving an Audi, how did you get into the Volkswagen? Is this a trick question? What is badged up? Is it farther to Dallas or by bus? What's the difference between a duck?
The same way Lexus owners justify their purchase over a Toyota, or Infiniti over Nissan, Buick %26amp; Cadillac over Pontiac %26amp; Chevy, Acura over Honda ... etc etc.

Yea, there's definitely some platform sharing, but the additional cost is both in the branding as well as additional amenities. If you're driving an Audi how do you justify driving a badged up Volkswagen? You are clearly implying that the Audi is 'just' a VW with a different badge. That's a pretty ignorant way to look at things. It seems more like you are just an Internet troll looking to provoke people with your silly statements.

As you know many of the car manufacturers in America have a premium brand. It's just how cars are sold here. So it's just a question of deciding if the extra money justifies the differences. Most of the premium brands share platforms, but that's about where the similarity ends.

If you really believe that the Audi is just a VW with a different badge, you are simply ill-informed.If you're driving an Audi how do you justify driving a badged up Volkswagen?
I prefer it ok.
Man your an Idiot go Drive a TrycicleIf you're driving an Audi how do you justify driving a badged up Volkswagen?
um the R8 has the 4.2L v8 found in the RS4, not the W12 from the phaeton (which is an amazing car).

Also, have you ever driven a vw? they're nice little cars that handle very well and are built like tanks.

finally, almost every major car company has it's regular brand and it's luxury brand i.e. nissan and infinity, honda and acura, toyota and lexus.
Because it's true you can't justify spending 70,000 on a phateton but for a Audi A8 you can! Same care same power same everything.
Volkswagen Eos=Audi TT=Porsche Boxter. From what I remember, the Boxster came out first. So, TT came second and then Eos. So, I guess with your line of thinking the Volkswagens are rebadged Porsches and so are Audis.

????Right?
Let me let you in on a little something the Audi R8 does not share its platform with the Volkswagen Phaeton it shares it with the Lamborghini Gallardo idiot. And it also shares it engine with the Audi RS4
I would never buy either. That's hilarious about the R8/Phaeton. Who is going to buy a $70,000 Volkswagen? What were they thinking?

Audi and VW are both crap.

1) Ugly

2) Unreliable

3) Overpriced

I have a friend that has a 2003 VW Golf with 54,000 miles on it and it runs like it has 250,000 miles on it.
