I am mailing a package to Taiwan from the usa how can i be sure she gets the gifts?

I have wrapped her gifts will they be opened? Do I need to try and write her address in chinese for faster delivery? I do not speak or write chinese so this would be difficult and I would have to find a translation on the internet and hope that is was right... should i just fill out the form in english and hope for the best? I gave her several small gifts nothing special as i am poor.... travel size shampoo and conditioner sets, mascara , lip gloss, a battery operated lint remover with batteries, two bouncy balls for her and her brother that are full of glitter and light up when they bounce, a glass candle for her mother, a small puzzle, several nail polishes, eye glass lenses she left here, a hat, food items - a box of rice mix she loved, a can of fire roasted tomatoes to put in the rice, and 2 packets of dry ranch dressing to add to burgers. ( she loved my burgers lol) and a magazine on colleges along with personal letters o and 2 small bottles of perfume... also i didn't get her father a gift because 1. i don't know what to get a taiwanese man 2. I don't want to offend by giving a man a gift(I am a woman and he is a married man) but at the same time i don't want to offend by giving a gift to everyone but him... if it would be considered an insult NOT to send him a gift also would you have a suggestion as what to give? I have sent numerous packages and gifts to Taiwan from the US for my now ex-gf, and I have wrapped most of the gifts and they were never opened. Writing Chinese on the package would be helpful and would make certain that it will arrive to the proper place, but in order to mail them from the US to Taiwan you have to have English. If you know her Address in Chinese you can type it out on the computer and paste it or tape it on the outside of the package. If you would like you can send me a PM and I can help you type the address in Chinese, so you can just print it out.



As for a gift for a friends father, this is pretty difficult I think. I have never known what to give my friends fathers as gifts because most of them are very quiet and don't really say what they like. So the best option is to ask your friend what type of things her dad likes since she will have a better idea. I highly doubt that you need to worry about giving him a gift since you are a girl and he is married, since you are his daughters friend.

Not giving a gift to him isn't necessarily a bad thing, and wouldn't be seen as any major cultural offense. This is going to cost a lot to send. You can't send it air mail because that is 98 cents an ounce. You will have to call DHL or FedEx for their rates. When ever you send anything out of the country you must list everything inside the package and it's value.
