Does anyone know what this sauce is?

I ordered beef terriyaki, crab ragoon, fried rice, for my chinese delivery. It came with this red Sweet sauce. I don't know what its for, but its really good. My first guess was that it was sweet and sour sauce, but I don't think so. It seems too sweet. the man who delivered the food unfortanetly didnt understand the question, and he seemed nervous, so I felt bad to ask again. Thanks!Does anyone know what this sauce is?
I believe it is Sweet and Sour Sauce.

Most Chinese Restaurants have Duck Sauce (Dark and Light Brown) and Sweet %26amp; Sour (Red %26amp; Thick).

Instead of Duck sauce, Sweet and sour souce can dip with the fried foods as well.

In my restaurant, when customers order Sweet %26amp; sour chicken, shrimp or pork, we put this sour with cherries and pineapples in the sauce too.

Thai sweet and sour sauce is less thickness, and mixes with chili. We eat with fried chicken (most of the time).
i think he gave you thai sauce, if you are not chinese you will never know the difference from which part of asia does the sauce originate, you can get these sauces in bottles from any international stores these daysDoes anyone know what this sauce is?
I have seen this before too. Generally it is the sweet sauce that is used for sweet and sour, it is more common to get it in the Midwest this way, not so much on the west and east coast except for a few places, then they give you duck sauce, also really sweet and orange like in flavor and color. I have also had the red sauce called duck sauce too, just depends on the restaurant.
Sweet and sour sauce are chinese. And many other cuisines have their own recipes for sauces. Its hard to tell, It may be chinese, or Thai...why not ask the delivery man ?Does anyone know what this sauce is?
I guess the one you ordered from delivery was Chop- Suey version of Sweet %26amp; Sour sauce, it's made from sugar, red food coloring, Waterchestnut-starch.
It's sweet%26amp;sour sauce

It's for the crab rangoon

it also comes with sweet %26amp;sour chicken
It may have been Sweet Chili Sauce.
