Hi, I am soon starting a (very) part-time job delivering chinese food one day a week, 5 hours. I have been trying to find out what sort of insurance I need for my car as I am only covered for SD%26amp;P. I got a quote for one company who insured for business use, but they wouldn't cover takeaway deliveries! And my current insurer doesn't do anything like it. I know that places like Domino's and Pizza Hut provide supplemental insurance for their drivers, but this place doesn't do anything of the sort and I don't want to get caught out, especially for something like this? Thanks :)What kind of car insurance covers takeaway deliveries?
To use your car commercially, you will need commercial insurance. Progressive is one of the few companies that offers it. It's not cheap. What kind of car insurance covers takeaway deliveries?
Ask for type one business cover and obviously if you have an annual mileage limit you may need to increase this.
When I renewed my insurance the cost was the same for either SDP%26amp; Commuting (i.e. to you normal place of work) or Business use, it's just different wording on the policy.
This was through Direct Line. What kind of car insurance covers takeaway deliveries?
change jobs to one that furnishes the supplemental insurance coverage.
