Need help picking which way to surprise family!??

I don't know which way would be better to do for the family!!! Either making my own chinese food at my place and having the fortune cookies after, getting take out and putting the fortune cookies in with it, or going out to a restaraunt and having them bring our special cookies out when they normally do.

they will say:

A tiny new delivery will be arriving soon.

More smiles, hugs and kisses are coming your way.

i think that depends on how they are likely to react. If it's going to be loud and boisterous (and distrurbing to other patrons) going out is not a good idea.



on the other hand, if you're really wanting to 'surprise' people, and you don't frequently have them over when you make chinese food, this may not be the best way to go.



i think the best action, of the ones you've listed, would be to order take out, and put the cookies in the bag, before they see the ones from the restaurant (or specifacally state NO COOKIES in your order).

Personally I would take them out. Less clean up for you. Though they may be suspicious about why you want to take them out for dinner.Need help picking which way to surprise family!??

Make it at home. Because your family may not open the cookies at the restaurant, or the server may mix them up and give them to another table.

I would choose getting takeout and replacing them with the cookies. then i would do either the lucky numbers or a tiny new delivery will be arriving soon.
Well....taking all the family for chinese food might be a give-away...but then again having a dinner at home might be as well.



I would say, either make the food yourself OR go to the restaurant. (restaurant maybe be the best if you don't think that it would give it away) I think getting take-out while it would be the easiest for you....would also be tacky for what you want to accomplish. (could you imagine if your hubby hid your engagement ring in a Wendy's baked potato?)

That is so cute!! I think you should go out and do it personally. But I want to steal your idea when I get prego! Me and my husband have a favorite chinese retaurant that we always go to and that would be perfect!!

If you usually cook Chinese food I would say go for it. Ordering out would be easier, but I would think at home would be best to avoid a scene if you have overzealous family members like we do. If we had told them in public we probably would have been thrown out of the restaurant. :)



We photocopied our ultrasound picture and cut them out and placed them under people's dinner plates so that when we cleared the table there were the pictures for them to see.
