Anybody catch that Republican boob on CNN finance today?

I only saw snippets while doing my chic recession job as a Chinese food delivery person. But to watch him bellowing nonsense about how there was "PLENTY OF MARGIN IN THE MARKET FOR INVESTMENT", and shouting down the sober black commentator who said that Obama had inherited the present situation!

Interrupting for the umpteenth time..."OBAMA DIDN'T INHERIT ANYTHING!!! Nobody forced him to run! He CHOSE!"

Honestly, what happened to these people and where did they lose all touch with reality? I'll admit he was a snappy dresser. But for the rest, it was a sad spectacle, and as he seemed convinced of what he was spouting, worthy of being carted away to an asylum.

As one commentator said coolly on PBS radio this afternoon, it seems that with the creation of the Supermarket of Hedge Funds, Merchant Banks and the rest, that the idea of finance's place as a servant of society seems to have been inverted. As he said, it seems these people consider society to be their toys.Anybody catch that Republican boob on CNN finance today?
Politics is supposed to be about ethics, not merely economics. The government is not supposed to be our keeper, it is supposed to be our servant. Both democrats and republicans try too hard to be parents instead.
Just a note - the childhood home is up in Midland. I've never actually thrown stones at the childhood home. His "ranch" is east of here in Crawford. Either place - in fact this whole west Texas area - you could get punched in the nose for saying anything bad about GWB in public.

Nope. They dropped Him like a hot potato! :)Anybody catch that Republican boob on CNN finance today?
When I read the question, my first reaction was "wardrobe malfunction on a Republican?"

I did not see the individual in question, but I live in West Texas a stone's throw from the much ballyhooed local landmark of the Bush Childhood Home. Few of the illogical behaviors or frothing-at-the-mouth statements of the Republicans surprise me any more. I know and love some of them, but there are issues about which they simply can not get beyond ideology to facts.

They were screaming out here about the government bailouts - "Let the free market work! Let the free market work!" Then the Commissioners in Andrews County, Texas set about funding a corporate bailout for the local hazardous waste disposal business. From what I read, the local town fathers and nearly all the business people of the area support the bond issue.

Situational ethics, thy party name is Republican.
Sometimes, if I feel particularly strong and have taken in plenty of coffee, I will be able to tolerate listening to Levine, Hannity and Limbaugh for a few snippets. Though I usually need to take a shower afterward, I continue this torturous practice on a weekly basis.

Upon reflection, I suppose I could get the same benefit from a sharp stick in the eye, but still....I continue to listen. I think its because I have this fantasy, that at some moment these "giants", will cease with all the inane, hate-filled rhetoric and actually say something of substance. After all Levine calls himself "the great one" and Hannity refers to himself as a "great american". Surely, that must mean something. They are one of us, especially if us are very rich.

But I'm continually disappointed. I would imagine if we were to eliminate several specific words from the vocabulary (e.g., patriot, constitution, liberty, freedom, conservative, liberal, socialism and marxism), there would be nothing but dead air.

They certainly act as if reality is their toy.
