My husband and our two boys are going to my folks for the Holiday weekend. I'm bringing potted dirt dessert and am also making up a scavenger hunt for our boys and parents around their place and the last place on the hunt will be a treasure box filled with a few things for our boys and was thinking of putting in a pacifier to announce that I'm pregnant. But then I thought it might be fun for either my Mom or both my Mom and Dad to have a hidden pacifier in their potted dirt dessert.
Which idea should I go with? If the dessert idea then put the pacifier in just my Mom's dessert or both hers and my Dad's? I'd hate for my Dad to find it first since my Mom would be more excited about it!
Oh and I make crazy cakes all the time with non edible things on them so I'm pretty certain my folks wouldn't mind a clean pacifier in their dessert :)
I like coming up with fun ideas for everything! For our first pregnancy I gave my Mom a grandma memory book for Christmas and for our 2nd I made up fortune cookies that said "a very special delivery will arrive soon" and "your family will expand by at least 2 feet" and had the due date as the lucky #'s. And of course we served them after Chinese food and it was extra special because of my Birthday!

Potted dirt dessert. I'm not sure that they would get the message as well if it were hidden in a toy chest.
