I work for a communications company and recently we were doing repairs in a public housing community, basically people who need help with rent and utilities live in this area. What I found so disturbing was the number of high end cars with flashy rims in the parking lots of these buildings and the number of pizza and chinese food deliveries these people were ordering. How can someone say they need help with the basics yet have money for a new car and wheels or can afford to have food delivered. Is it just me or does this seem really screwed up? If you have money for these luxuries then its reasonable to think you can pay your own rent and bills right? I really started getting irate the more i thought about it. Part of the money I paid in taxes is going to pay for someone elses rent and bills while they ride around in a new car and have pizza hut delivering food to them. Why should I pay for someone else to have a place and power/water when they can obviously do so for themselves? How can we put an end to this? Or where can I sign up for this free ride?Does this bother anyone else?
That area which you speak, is a Nation wide blight. When the sun goes down, the area around the
projects turn into crack city. The rims/cars/ 10,000.00 gold. Call BHO and have him fix something, in his
4 year farce.
probably 50% of the people living in sec 8 are so called single women2-3 kids with theyre bf selling drugs living with them,it is bull sh tDoes this bother anyone else?
Well where I live I see people doing the same also people living in trailers with broke out windows etc etc but have a big new f150 truck and 4 wheelers really? I just do not give a damn people will always miss use the system and as long as it is not me and me and my husband are doing what we need to do to take care of our kids I could care less about anyone else. Worrying about them is not paying my bills at the end of the month.
Your opinion is valid. Drives me mad too. I've been told I couldn't receive emergency assistance(with a less than one year old) because there was a possibility my boyfriend may get a job that paid more than they require. So we had no food, no money for food and he didn't even make the amount we thought he would. Yet people can be strung out on crack or have very expensive items and qualify. I think besides drug testing, rims and monthly fashion expenses should be considered in determining the assistance someone needs.Does this bother anyone else?
I work hard every day at an entry level job. Actually three of them. I average 80+ hours per week and pay taxes so others can rob the federal treasury and sit on their azzes. Why do we allow this? Why do we continue to fund the robbing of the producers for the benefit of the non-producers? There are a good many people in this country who agree with you, Ryan. Keep fighting the fight and don't join the losers.
Hmm, I see what you're saying. Apparently, they're making unwise choices with their money, or have misplaced priorities.
